    Kiddie Corner

From the album: Country House - Album 2

Carrie especially likes this area of her sisters' bedroom because she can grab a doll or stuffed animal, listen to music, rock in a rocking chair, and admire a very nice dollhouse all at the same time.

    Right At Home

From the album: Country House - Album 2

Holly loves her Mickey and wants to take good care of him. She decided to keep him on the bench in her older sisters' room with their Mickey and Minnie. She sat there for about an hour just looking at the three of them on that bench. Imagine staring that long at such tiny objects.

    No Clue

From the album: Country House - Album 2

Grandma and Grandpa wanted to do something special for Holly because they were concerned she may be overshadowed by the accomplishments of ther two older sisters Amy and Heather, and the affections of her younger sister Carrie. So the family sent away for a special surprise for Holly to show they appreciate her support and loving ways. Holly is overcome with surprise and joy and has no idea what the package contains.
  4. From the album: Country House - Album 2

Grandpa snapped this picture of Holly with her Mickey Mouse. Now all the little girls have a Mickey Mouse of their own.
  5. From the album: Country House - Renovated

Carrie loves her "life-size" Mickey Mouse, and from what the family can tell, feelings are mutual. Grandma and Grandpa ordered this gift from a catalog, but it didn't arrive in time for Christmas; so they told Carrie the mouse fell out of Santa's bag before he hopped on his sleigh, but Mrs. Claus found it and shipped it to Carrie from the North Pole, along with a nice letter of apology. - Not only is Carrie excited to show Mickey to her friends, she can't wait to tell them that Mrs. Claus writes just like her Grandma.
  6. From the album: Country House - Renovated

I posted a previous picture of Mickey and Minnie sitting on this bench, but this shot is clearer. It captures them more up close and personal.
  7. From the album: Country House - Renovated

Mickey and Minnie are sitting on a bench in Amy and Heather's bedroom. The Mickey Mouse is Amy's, and Minnie is Heather's, but the girls all share their belongings. It's a good thing because Carrie has a habit of running off with Mickey.
  8. From the album: Country House - Renovated

Besides Mickey and Minnie, the girls also like the Beatles, as seen in the picture on the wall. The girls know all about the 60's from their grandparents, who still play their old record albums.

    Carrie w. Mickey

From the album: Country House - Renovated

When I first started searching for a miniature Carrie doll, I wasn't sure if she existed, as I only saw Holly Hobbie and her friends Amy and Heather in the 5 inch version. This is the only Carrie doll I had seen in this size. She is 4 1/2 inches tall, and I found her on eBay. She needed a little cleaning up after I got her, but her two-tone face and "spaghetti" stain on her dress are only noticeable in certain pictures. Even so, her newly-found sisters and grandparents adore her, and Carrie is very happy with her family. Here she is seen snatching Mickey Mouse out of Amy and Heather's bedroom. - Carrie gets away with a lot. The girls' bedrooms are separated by a hallway which has a Peter Rabbit theme.
  10. From the album: Country House - Renovated

The third floor contains two attic bedrooms, and this is Holly and Carrie's room on the right. The wagon has been replaced by a desk, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse are now in Amy and Heather's room to the left of the hallway. When I saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse on eBay, I knew I had to have them. They were handmade in Bulgaria, and I have also seen this same artist's work on Etsy.

    Group Picture 1

From the album: Country House - Renovated

Meet the little house occupants. Sitting on the porch rail is Amy, who is 11. Heather, the tomboy, is standing on the rail, and she is 10. Holly is resting by the steps after pushing Carrie in the wagon. Holly is almost 8, and little Carrie just turned 6. Carrie really likes that Mickey Mouse. The girls' parents are actors who are constantly on road tours, as that is how they can make the most money to eventually send their children to college. So the girls are living in this house with their grandparents. If you follow their story, I think you will agree it is a wonderful arrangement.
