    Attic Alcove

From the album: Vermont Farmhouse, Jr.

There are plenty of items in this attic to entertain both a child and an adult. The latest additions are some Christmas and John Denver albums.
  2. I thought it would be fun to complete the following sentence: You know you are addicted to miniatures when . . . I will go first . . . when you serve your dollhouse family dinner before your real life family. That is exactly what I did today, which made me think of this little game.
  3. From the album: Country House - Renovated

Carrie is the youngest (only 6), but from this picture it looks like she got the least. In "reality," however, she made out quite well. She got a wooden doll carriage with a teddy bear in it, a vintage Mickey Mouse subtraction kit as she likes math and enjoys playing school, and story books. I have a feeling Santa will bring a few more things her way.
  4. From the album: Country House - Renovated

This is a close-up of Holly's beadmaker kit. All the girls's vintage items were purchased from Wright Guide Miniatures at the Philadelphia Miniaturia, except for Amy's Beatles and Shirley Temple items, which were purchased from eBay.
  5. From the album: Country House - Renovated

Holly is a delightful 8-year-old who doesn't ask for much, except for Chinese checkers and a jump rope. She is also into crafts, so Grandma got her a beadmaker kit and some paper dolls, both which are vintage items.
  6. From the album: Country House - Renovated

Heather is 10, but she is into teddy bears more than her two younger sisters and Amy. She is also at an age where she enjoys board games. Heather is into crafts, and the sewing kit is a vintage item. I believe it is from the time when the Dion Quintuplets were famous, as it is a kit to make a quintuplet doll.

    Lotta Lute

From the album: Country House - Renovated

This is a brief inventory of some of the gifts the girls will be getting for Christmas this year. Since this picture was taken, two more dolls were added to the collection. I know I spoil these little people, but my niece grew up too fast, is now 26, and is no longer fun to buy gifts for. - And if I am going to buy gifts, I might as well have fun!
  8. From the album: Country House - Renovated

After the girls are in bed, Grandma and Grandpa like to play some games of their own. Here they are playing with the girls' Ouija board. Grandma is laughing because the Ouija board told them to give their granddaughters dollhouses for Christmas. Grandpa said if the Ouija board says so, then who is he to argue. - Grandpa will do anything for the girls. Also, he doesn't want to take any chances by making the spirits angry.
