If you're a Disney fan, you must watch Coco cartoon. The story, the music of Coco are so amazing. After watching the trailer, I can't control myself. The guitar is so beautiful to the details. And I made a miniature Coco guitar for my tiny world. This video will show you how. https://youtu.be/AKZTrcRJVwA

So has anybody used these? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-12-Scale-Houseworks-Common-Joint-Pattern-Clay-Brick-Sheet-/192080326885 If you have, how did you cut them. I'm using them for the flooring in the San Franciscan's basement and I've been scoring and breaking them with mixed success. They are too expensive to just ruin. Any ideas?

I made a couple of marble hearths out of polymer clay for the San Franciscan. One is thick and one is thinner. I'm leaning towards the thinner one, as I like the swirls. I may use the other one in another room or I may make another. This was Miranda's (SewMini) idea, that I have shamelessly stolen. Gotta watch out for us Aussies.. we have convict blood. Thanks Miranda! I watched a tutorial but there was too much mixing and I ended up with hardly any veins. Operator error no doubt. So essentially I just loosely mixed pearl, silver & translucent clay. "Marble" Hearth with fireplace & mantle. I watched a tutorial but there was too much mixing and I ended up with hardly any veins. Operator error no doubt. So essentially I just loosely mixed pearl, silver & translucent clay. Then separately I loosely mixed white with a small amout of black. Then I rolled everything in a ball and then made snake ropes, by rolling it out into a long snake, folding and then twisting it like a corkscrew. then back into a ball, roll out and cut to size. Much simpler! -

From the album: Miniatures "Things" I've made
Bathroom fixtures cost more money then I can afford these days, so I finally decided I had to make them myself. Its nice to have a place to store rolls of toilet paper and bed linens. I'm rather proud of the sink, I made it using homemade cold porcelain.- 3 comments

Has anyone tried this air dry clay? They say it is like other air dry acrylic clays. It is a clay you can easily make using elmers glue, cornstarch, and baby oil. I have made it and I like using it but I have not used any of the commercial brands so I'm wondering what the differences are If you are interested in trying it there are several video tutorials on YouTube just search cold porcelain clay. color the clay with tubes of acrylic paint.

From the album: Scenes & Other Minis
Mosaic pieces are an assortment of polymer clay and the, "grout", is a light/soft polymer clay. Some of the color was done with water color pencils, and the tops of these have been glazed over with translucent liquid polymer clay for a more finished look. I need to pay more attention to weekly ads. Michael's has 2oz packages of clay 4 for $5. I have never made anything with clay, but it is time to learn. I spent $20 to learn...lol. Hobby Lobby has 30% off all clay packages, not matter what brand or size. Also, HL has 40% off all scrapbook and paper materials. I need to go back. I had a 40% off coupon on my phone for each place, but didn't use either as I didn't buy anything at full price.
