    Hi- I am resuming work on a scratch built English manor home and I would like to build it on a strong but lightweight base. The dimensions will be 40" w x 20" d x 35" h and will weigh about 35 pounds. Any advice regarding base materials and thickness? Plywood? Gatorboard? Gatorboard sandwiched between thin plywood? Use thin plywood but add 1x1 inch wood around the bottom edge? Add extra braces underneath also? Remember I want this to be light. Any advice would be appreciated!
