I have had a lot happen in the last few months including moving out of my house, moving twice, then moving back into my house. Somewhere along the line the skil craft disappeared. It may turn up, then again it may have just been tossed. I had made a lot of progress on it, but hadn't taken any pictures.

Two years ago, when I bought this house, I tried to find the identity. At this current time there is a Skilcraft on ebay that looks like this house (link posted by Newt). It is possible with as many dollhouse manufacturers that have come and gone it was produced by both Arrow and Skilcraft. As much as I love hearing about the history of manufacturers I don't like to research them myself. I am hoping Calamari will publish a book so I have a handy reference. I started working on this house as a second project while I was waiting for the glue to dry on another. The work on this house is very slow going. All I have really done is taken it apart and sand a few pieces. I have done more sanding on it this month than I have in a long time. Since the pieces are pretty small it is easy to get off work in the morning and work on this while sitting down. Here is a pic of the front sanded down. I have a theme for this house. I don't know how plausible it is. It is still in the planning stages. I tend to over plan my projects. The list of mini projects for this house is getting pretty big. One of them is to have new window trims made. I do have a paint color. I am not going to be adding the porch roof that the house had. Mine didn't have a porch roof.

Today I got the Arrow house taken apart by soaking in a tub of hot water and vinegar. It took two hours. Some of the pieces that came off took some of the wood with it. I think I will let it dry overnight. After taking the house apart, I decided that I am going to replace windows, trim, door and the interior stairs. Most of the plywood pieces soaked apart in the bath. These parts will be thrown away. Today, I googled homemade paperclay. This search believe it or not brought me back to the forum. There was a thread about making paper mache and paperclay. I never thought about searching the forum. I think that I am going to test out the theory. I shred a ton of paperwork anyway. Since the paper is going to be painted. We shall see.

I took a ZicamFlu medicated spoon. NightQuil might be the "fall on the kitchen floor and I can't get up" medicine, but this stuff is "You better take it lying down cause you're not going to get up" medicine. This entry will be really quick, sorry for any typo's. While working on the Laurel, I thought it would be good to have a second house going. The Arrow dollhouse that I picked up at the local thrift store has recentley said "Brownstone". So tonight I began taking off the roof. I learned from prior experience that I should take restorations apart and rebuild. I got as far as the roof. I thought the house had been put together with hot glue. Apparentley only the roof was put together with hot glue. Looks like I need to get out vinegar to see if that will dissolve the glue. I plan to add a foundation, steps a new door possiably new windows.
