  1. Stacey6163

    Room box floor

From the album: More building projects

This is the floor for the room box - it goes nicely with the bricks . I think this is my favorite floor yet.
  2. rackey

    Remodeled Interior

From the album: Country House - Renovated

This is how the backside of the house looked when I brought it home from the Dollhouse Factory. Chuck did all the restructuring on the third floor, plus he made a partition for the bathroom on the second floor and added the staircase. He also resurfaced the walls, added the flooring, and cleaned, repaired, and painted the outside. Bill did all the wallpapering and added the molding. I told them how I wanted the house to look, but this turned out even better than what I imagined.

    Finished floor

    From the album: Half-scale Bungalow

Here we are! I really like how it came out, not really even and kind of rough looking.
  4. From the album: Half-scale Bungalow

Here's my first strip down. I want a very rustic look for this floor...kind of like it was made of reclaimed timber.

    Veneer Strips

    From the album: Half-scale Bungalow

Here are the veneer strips I'm using. I got them at Lowes for $5 a roll. They do come too wide for 1/2 scale but they are super easy to split with straight edge and utility knife. Thanks Holly!
  6. From the album: APEDOLLYs ORCHID D-HOUSE

kitchen floor choices KFC 1 thru 4
  7. From the album: Experiments in Flooring

    Cutting up the leather.
  8. From the album: Pack away dollhouse

1st application of butcher block wax - I'll be able to eat off my floor

  9. From the album: Pack away dollhouse

1st floor's finished floor 1/4" wide planks = 3" scale The wood is from an old real life size piece of flooring - I think the wood is gum?? I left the floor board edges (long side) rough for an older, used look...

    From the album: The Laurel

Floors are completely glued down! what a headache! I think next time I will just splurge and buy the flooring sheets. Each "floor board" liked to curl everytime I tried to glue it down. It made getting the floor nice and even really hard.

    From the album: The Laurel

I am using left over sliding for my flooring and it seems to be going ok. The attic floor is finished and then the other floors all in different stages of being finished.
