    Front View

    From the album: Beacon Hill

Very well built. Tape wiring throughout the house and some lights are installed. Haven't tested them yet.

  4. From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill

lol I threw in a few props on this one, I made the chandelier & the topiary! The floor was made with two tones of marble images printed on card stock and sprayed with high gloss enamel.
  5. From the album: My First Build: The Beacon Hill

The small trim pieces under the eves were in bad shape to start with due to some poor boards in my kit. It took me what seems like forever to get them reasonably consistent.
  6. From the album: My First Build: The Beacon Hill

The family room bay windows needed a lot of filling and sanding to get them to look right.
  7. From the album: My First Build: The Beacon Hill

Pretty much by-the-numbers build. It sure is an attractive mini.
  8. From the album: My First Build: The Beacon Hill

Just posted to assist with a trim question.
  9. From the album: My First Build: The Beacon Hill

Just posted to assist with a trim question. I believe I added the under rail piece here out of scrap for consistency with the other windows.
  10. From the album: My First Build: The Beacon Hill

Just posted to assist with a trim question.
  11. From the album: Unicorn Emporium

It's slow going, but coming along.
  12. From the album: Beacon Hill

I replaced the teal color with a dark blue. I am liking the new color scheme much better, at least for now. You know how that is, it could change at some time in the future just because I decide I don't want a blue house anymore.....
  13. From the album: Beacon Hill

I am very happy how this turned out. It took me all day Saturday make the chimney. Well, it wouldn't have taken the whole day if I didn't have to tear it down and start over because I didn't know what I was doing when laying the stone on the upper part of the chimney.
  14. From the album: Beacon Hill

The copper paint on the front bay window will be replaced with copper sheeting after I finish doing the detail work on the outside of the house. I know if I installed it now, it would be a dented mess by the time I finish the outside of the house.

    LIGHTS!!

From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill

What a day!! Drilling, wiring, splicing, tucking, taping, dremeling, vacuuming, hoping & praying; I HAVE LIGHTS! Instant-on lights, the kind you flip on with one switch! Everything worked the first try! I didn't even blow one fuse Time to celebrate~ cheers!
  16. From the album: Unicorn Emporium

I used wide popsicle sticks (tongue depressors) to cut the gingerbread balusters from, and used thin molding from Hobby Lobby for the railing. Newell posts are made from square dowels, wooden beads and matboard.

  19. From the album: My First Build: The Beacon Hill

I'm not too keen on the way my aging of the copper turned out. I think it came out too blotchy for my tastes. I'm considering giving it a few more coats of my aging mix (consisting of lemon juice, salt, and white vinegar) to make it more green.
  20. From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill

Still under construction..... this shows the conservatory without the back panel.
  21. From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill

I bashed those kitchen windows and added french doors that lead to the conservatory, had to sand my tile to make room for the doors to swing open, so they need a touch up.
  22. From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill

I made the back panel removable so that I can get in there... Now just to figure out how to attach magnets or something
  23. From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill

Added a few inches, a little back door.. eliminated the bay windows to make room for french doors that wil lead to a small conservatory.
  24. From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill

Hopefully, this will be the library! I made the french door one day when I needed a wallpaper break.
