  1. Game room in the attic! Talk about my dream house.
  2. I think that’s what I’m going to end up doing. Sort of give it that (somebody started moving) out look but didn’t quite finish the job.
  3. The furniture is turning into a problem. I have a 1:12 chair and couch but they overwhelm the room. Anyone have a good place to purchase furniture?
  4. The living room is finished! For the floor I just winged it and it turned out with imperfections but I’m overall pleased.
  5. Originally it was supposed to look just like on the box so there wasn’t going to be much of a story. Somehow I went off the rails.
  6. The kitchen is the only thing worth showing so far
  7. This is my first doll house/miniature and I’m pretty pleased how it’s turned out so far. I still have some fine tuning on the outside and need to start the wood floors.
  8. Not sure if this is a A well-known trick and I’m not as clever as I thought... I used wood glue and thin paper to cover my roof seams and hold the dormers in place. I simply “buttered” one side of the paper with wood glue and then placed it on the joints and seams. Then slathered the dry side with wood glue too. I actually didn’t have to use any masking tape to hold the dormers in place while they dried. I was a little concerned that the shingles might not stick but there’s been no problems. Sorry for the sideways picture.
  9. Hey my name is Graham and I’m currently working on my first miniature house. I doing the orchid because consensus was it was a good first build. I started this project so I could have some thing to focus on that wasn’t work, I’m an ER nurse and things have been a little hectic this year. my biggest frustration so far is every piece seems to be a little off. Even the pieces that should be uniform aren’t. I assume this is normal with stamped kits.
  10. Thanks so much for the help! I kind of figured that would be the answer but I didn’t want to spend hours applying pastel chalk just to have it blow off.
  11. how would you adhere pastel chalk to a surface like an interior wall or wallpaper. I am looking to age some wallpaper using pastel dust. General crafting I would just spray coat it but don’t feel this would be the best for an interior doll house that is mostly finished. Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!
