  1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Miniature-Gandma-Grandpa-Man-Woman-Dollhouse-Dolls-Handcrafted-Porcelain/254602076803 Wouldn't they look great on a Greenleaf houseboat kit? They make me smile!
  2. I like all of the ephemera in the drawers, they add such a nice details.
  3. Do you get Cynthia Howe's newsletter? She just started a new project , but I see it has already sold out. I wish she wasn't so pricey, but her kit was wonderful and worth the investment. https://cynthiahoweminiatures.com/shop/
  4. Somebody please buy this! I think The House That Jack Built, dollhouses are made of some of the best quality wood. I have two , both bought locally (not this model). This has been relisted already. The shipping must not be correct, but check out the low starting bid. They don't come up on eBay at such a great price. I am saving these houses for my someday grandchildren...they make beautiful long-lasting heirlooms IMO https://www.ebay.com/itm/Melissa-Doug-The-house-that-jack-built-Walton/363003217968#shpCntId
  5. Here is a blog post from Jodi @My Miniature Madness that explains how to make them. https://my-miniaturemadness.blogspot.com/search?q=hinge
  6. That is hard to pass up. If you want it, get it! Can you share the CL link?
  7. It is a lovely house.....for me, the price would be the final determining factor. What are they asking for it?
  8. You did a great job with the doors. Double hinge doors are difficult. pat yourself on the back. When you have the house built, most people won't notice the gap. Hinges are not my friend. I think pin hinging has been the most successful for me.

I have this in my stash as well.

Grandma Stover's and Yes Paste are great and warp-age is minimal. It is just very sticky.

Is that hardboard? That made all the difference in giving you that nice smooth finish! Much better than the plywood.

If you want to add more light, I have been dying to try these led lights that you can tuck up and hide. They are suppose to give great light. You will need to make sure your power supply can handle the volts. https://cr2s.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13_51

Beautiful work. Everything is so crisp and tidy.
  17. I have one but it is buried.....I mean really buried under a lot of my nieces stuff in our storage shed. They are due to move at the end of June. If you get really desperate, I will see if I can climb the mattress and box spring mountain that is blocking it.

The stand was included in the kit too. I don't know why they are so small. I did not resize them.

Everything is laser cut. The quoins are large pieces that have the tiniest engraving to separated each brick. I painted them ivory, then used a number 20/0 brush and watered down charcoal acrylic paint for the grout. Then I dry brushed them using the tiny brush in different colors.
  20. I like to have my houses assembled (shell) and then prime. That way I can fill in any gaps or add wood filler and then sand, then prime. If it is a tight/ hidden spot, make it easier on yourself and paint and decorate that area ......I like to get all the sanding and dirty work done first. I think all depends on personal preference... I usually do the majority of outside paint first, because I tend to be messy and there is less of a chance for me to mess up the interior. .....You will find that everyone has there preferences and that there's more than one way to build a dollhouse .
