  1. I have both but Mastercard is the only one I use because at the end of every year I receive money back which is deposited in my account every January. There are no annual fees and in the past, I've had a few cases where I had not received items I paid for and they were very quick to settle in my favor. They're very good to deal with.
  2. Ohhh they are perfect. Great job you've done.
  3. If it were me Michelle, I would go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get some builders foam and carve that up for stones. It can look very realistic and would seem to me to be alot easier on the hands than carving wood. Whichever you decide, I can't wait to see what you come up with.
  4. Thank you Holly, it would be great to meet you too.
  5. Mary Ann, try using eyelets instead of the brads. You'll fine a big difference and the eyelets are so much easier to install. Good luck.
  6. I can't wait for August to get here. I'm so looking forward to Gayle's visit since she's never been to Canada before. It's going to be such fun to finally meet the girl that up to now I've only been able to call 'my best online friend'.

    Lighthouse in place

I agree with Anna, it's fantastic, all of it!!
  8. I can only imagine how pleased your DH was to have it finished. It's gorgeous, Gayle. Great job!!

    Front Exterior

Wow, wonderfully done. I'm so impressed.
  10. Fabulous Jennifer, I love your store and I know how hard you worked on it, it sure paid off. Great job!!
  11. fov, I didn't think the gap issue was too bad finally, but I had to leave a longer bottom part showing otherwise moving up towards the top of the roof, it would have become far too thick and definitely there would have been gaps. I actually did that and had to take about twenty rows off when I noticed what was happening. Fortunately, I used hot glue to put them on so they were easy to take off with a hair blower. Here's a close up pic of the side of the McKinley where you can see the edges. http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/uploads/gallery_34_1124_77476.jpg
  12. Michelle, I did the McKinley in those shingles and yes, they are much thicker than the others. Personally, I don't care for them but they do look nice once they've been put on. I would get the 6000 and I think I have some left as well. Here's a link: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/i...i&img=15312
  13. I'm much the same as Deana (chesterfieldzoo). At last count I had 83 kits in boxes but this past few months, I've purchased so many more. I would venture to guess it's close to 3 digits by now. I have kept most of the dollhouses I've built other than the Brimbles Flower Shop went to Missy, my DD. The Harrison went to my oldest g/daughter, Areal and the McKinley went to Cory (my youngest g/daughter) for when she is older.
  14. Congratulations Casey, your blog is such a delight to read.
  15. Congratulations Amy, what a great purchase!
  16. Oh Margaret, that is just too cute! What a lovely gift.
  17. Beautiful, Margaret, I love it.
  18. Sue, I have them here on my computer, chelleke1 was kind enough to take pictures of hers and send them on to me. I've sent them to your email address.
  19. Susanne, that's wonderful news! I did see the article and your scene is just lovely. Congratulations!
  20. I'm all for this forum and Greenleaf dollhouses. I have the RGT's Newbury and have no desire whatsoever to build it. Yet I have over 80 Greenleaf kits that I can't wait to build each and every one. My feelings about the issue of discussing other manufacturer's dollhouses is at the opposite end of the spectrum than most. I don't believe on the Greenleaf forum there should be discussions of other types of dollhouses even though I respect the fact that it is allowed. Greenleaf (Dean) goes out of his way to make this a forum to talk about his products and offers games and contests throughout the year to promote his products. To me, Dean gives us this forum and in return I give him and his company my loyalty. Tracy, I think you really said it best when you mentioned restaurants. Very true! Deb, I also have the latter book you mentioned and love it. Even though I'm not into the Tudor style, it has lots of very interesting ideas.
  21. Let me know if you still need them, Deb. I have them here on my computer and I can email them to you.
  22. What a surprise to see this thread from years gone by! Thanks for all the kind words. I wonder what a Swiffer sheet would look like dyed.
  23. I took out the IMag subscription for AM and I've been greatly disappointed. I've emailed them twice in the past 7 months because I was unable to open a particular month's issue. I'm still not able to get in to read this month's issue. They are not pdf files so there is no saving them on your computer. But you can always go back and read them from their website or print them out which is what I do. I'm going to go with the mailed copy after this subscription ends.
  24. Just beautiful, Tiffanie. I love the stucco instead of siding. Great job!!
