    Dove house

This is work in progress on my 1/4 scale Dove house Tudor property. I am at the moment waiting for lighting to be installed.
  8. Hi I am hoping someone can help me here . I am constructing the Garfield 1:44th scale but I think the 12th scale would be similar. I am having a problem with constructing the tower part. Diagram 4/5 on the instructions page. I have assembled the small pieces onto tape as suggested ok so far. I then noticed the tall pieces attached are not the same . One had pieces cut out the other has not. I cannot see how they fit in the cuts outs do not appear to fit anywhere. I feel I must have gone wrong somewhere but luckily it is not glued into position yet. I Am hoping someone can follow my question and help out Pleeeeez  tc MB
  9. Hi I have a grid to make my curtains . Tis a piece of wood with groves in . I cut the size of material I want make a hem top and bottom push the whole curtain into each grove . Then I use hairspray ( you can get quite small sprays now and am sure you will be making more than one pair of curtains) or starch leave until dry remove and you have perminient pleated curtains . tc mb

HI thank you for your comments. My Lady has just moved in and has yet to do any shelf filling ;) But she could not turn away her first customer. The staircase was one of the reasons for buying this property, and the arch wall I added myself as I wanted two shops. Reasoning that you can change the businesses so keep my interest ongoing :thumb: tc carol
  11. HI Maz Think we have met somewhere before  Welcome to you. I have just checked out the Chantilly it is a lovely property. The Uk houses are I think larger but also heavier as they are built with MDF and not ply/bass as I think most of the USA houses are. I love the syles though they are very pretty. tc carol
  12. HI you are very lucky to have a store like Michaels .I was lucky enough to spend 3 weeks in the USA and could have spent a lot of money in there if not for the fact had a luggage restriction  tc carol
