  1. From the album: Misc minis

I finished the Navajo rug!. I didn't count the finishing time, just the cross-stitch time. The stitching time was 189.5 hours, and the rug was stitched on 32 count Joblean in parchment. The finished size is 5 3/16" x 8 7/16".

The finished size is 5 3/16" x 8 7/16". Here I've set up a quick scene to show it in a room setting. The green striped Bespaq chairs are intended to stay with the rug in its future home, but I've borrowed the bookcase from the Heritage since I don't have another suitable bookcase just yet. The Appomattox Surrender Table is from miniatures.com, and if I keep it with the chairs, it will need some minor color correcting. Chaucer will also stay with the rug.

  4. Usually I attend the Thurston fair, but it slipped right past me this summer! We've promised our daughter that we'll take her to the Puyallup fair this year, so we're not feeling too bad about skipping the county fair. I haven't been to Elma since I was a teenager! I live in DuPont, actually, but most people recognize Olympia, and since that's where I grew up and where I still work, I call it home. I will, however, be attending the Miniatures show in Seattle this September. Can't wait! It's been a while since I've been. Hope to see you around!

  5. I'm about half way through all the plant kits I bought for the SF build. The Queen Anne's lace, gold cushion mum and fuschia are Bonnie Lavish kits....delphinium, red zinnia, petunia, hosta, wandering jew and fern are kits from sdk miniatures.

The bed isn't put together in this pic, so the head & footboards are crooked, and I've added a lamp on the nightstand since this pic
