I found Thomas Kinkade Micro Mini houses

I'm so glad that Bruce has become accustomed to me suddenly yelling, "OMG!!! Mine! Mine! All mine!!" in the middle of walmart. <cackle> In this case, there was quite a bit of happy dancing going on too as well as giving the evil eye to a woman who just happened to be wandering thru that aisle. hehehehee

Wanna see what I found? Micro minis!! Dollhouses for the dollhouse! And, <drum roll for the best part> they're Thomas Kinkade! Woooooooooohooooooooooo!!

I found them in the Christmas section back by the gardening center. They're in the part where they keep the mini decorations. In fact, they have several Thomas Kinkade pieces including some really pretty life size tins for gift cards.

But all that fades in comparison with finding TK micro minis. They come 7 to a package for $7.50. (I'm keeping some and sending some to a friend who really likes TK) Hang on and let me take a picture of them. <playing Jeopardy music>

I'm back. I already threw away the clamshell packaging but here they are. I stuck them on a table in the Pierce I'm building so you can see the size. They're a little smaller than 1:144 (I'm guessing more like 1:166) but they're perfect for knick-knacks or holiday decorations in the dollhouse. Or you could make a holiday village in your dollhouse. Oooooooh, now that's a cool idea! I may have to go back for more! I'll use a pair of pliers to take off the rings and touch up with the paint.

I haven't been keeping up with the forum as much as I should lately <hanging head and scuffing toe in the dirt> so forgive me if someone has already mentioned these and they're old news. I was just so excited I had to make sure that none of us missed these little treasures.

I collect Christmas village houses, so I thought they were perfect!

<nodding in agreement> I'm a "villager" too and love to set up my little Christmas world every year. Unfortunately it takes two days to set up and even longer to take down. I'm just not up to it this year but I reached a happy compromise with myself and picked out six of my favorite houses and some of my favorite villagers and features and just set it up on a blanket of snow on the fireplace mantel instead. It's not the entire town all spread out, but it satisfies my need. LOL

Anyway, I think these would make an adorable village in a dollhouse. I can get some accessories and villagers at the local hobby train store and make a teeny village that I can permanently set up on a table and then just place the table into a dollhouse whenever I want. How easy is that!

Well, was about to go jump in the car, but decided to shop by phone first. Checked 4 Wallys in our area and no one has them. Boo-hoo!! I can't even find them on Walmart.com!

Oh, well -- something to look for next year!

I had to hunt for them, but found them. They're a lot cuter "in person"! Now to find/ make some really weensy bottle-brush trees to go with them! I wonder if Hobbytoown USA has any N-scale carolers?

I'm pretty sure that Colpar Hobby has N-scale people in winter apparel and I think I remember seeing someone with a sled. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking. I'm sure going to look next time I go. Hobby Lobby might have the right scale people and trees in their model train section too. They do carry the teeny scales there.

Oooh, I just thought of this while I was on the way to bed. Mascara brushes would be just right for trees for these wee houses.
