Selkie 4,483 Posted April 3, 2014 Gorgeous! This must have taken a lo-o-o-ong time and a great deal of patience. Quote Link to comment
kreativitea75 79 Posted April 3, 2014 What is the stonework made of? It's gorgeous! Quote Link to comment
DaveD1052 50 Posted April 3, 2014 Did you make the stonework? I will need to have something for my from-scratch house. Is it commercially available? Quote Link to comment
Emma 8 Posted April 4, 2014 Love the colour of the stone. It goes so well with the slate roof. Quote Link to comment
Sable 3,008 Posted April 4, 2014 It's a commercially made travertine marble wall tile 2x4 bricks on 12" sheets. I use a table saw to cut the edge pieces to size. I've also used a dremel with a diamond grinder head, but that was scary. The sheets are applied with Liquid Nails. Here is the link to Floor and Decor, where I purchased them locally. They don't seem to show a pic of mine in Travertine, but I know they still have it. Travertine is a softer marble and easier to cut. http://www.flooranddecor.com/carrara-white-brick-mosaic-marble-tile-2in-x-4in-honed.html Quote Link to comment
Sable 3,008 Posted April 4, 2014 The real slate roof tiles came from Richard Stacey in England. Very pricey but I'll never use anything else. http://www.richardstacey.com Quote Link to comment
