This is Morrie, the first cat I needle-felted. He's a bit larger than 1:12 scale; I had to work my way down. He would probably be the right size for playscale, so I may have to build him a house one day! lol!

If that chair is 1:12 scale, then I say Morrie fits right in. He would be large for a pet, but maybe you can use your current house for a dollhouse family of cats. - It's a cute chair by the way, and Morrie doesn't look bad himself.
