moonberry 836 Posted March 20, 2014 They're mostly used for dry embossing and scrapbooking. You put the stencil on a lightbox (or against a window pane), place your cardstock over it. The stencil will be visible as a shadow (and the cut out spaces will be lighter). Then you press the embossing stylus around all the inside edges, lift the cardstock off and voila - instant embossed (raised) surface in the shape of your picture. Quote Link to comment
