Canterbury House 7 Staples Mid
After trying to find a keyhole saw in the piles of things at my grandparents' (to no avail), I ended up with an oversized Excel handle, and a variety of blades, including some serrated ones. Along with a fine-tooth razor saw and a mini-chisel, things were going smoothly... until they weren't. The ridiculous hand-contortion made some of the sawing difficult, but some bits were getting ridiculous. And then I realized that in addition to white glue and hot glue, there were...
Staples. Tiny finishing staples. Here, there, and seemingly everywhere, but not following a pattern. Once I realized it, I was able to pry them out after I found them. Some I was able to find by sanding off the paint along the floor seam (on the outside of the house); a patch of white underneath indicated that there had been a hole filled. A hole made by a staple. Others (like under roof lines) were simply found as I got stuck in sawing. Others (that were inaccessible) came out when I finally not-so-gently pried the floors back-and-forth to finally remove them.
This house was solidly built. Overly built. Even without the second floor, it is suitable for play by a child. No wibbly wobbly delicate anything here.
