Brick mansion side opening

I sat in front of the house with my cup of tea to contemplate my renovation plans..... and noticed small hinges on the right side bump out, and to my surprise I discovered that there was a side opening! Apparently the magnet latch had broken years before and was nailed shut. Well, hubby (a cabinet installer) can make quick work of a replacement latch! :)

What a wonderful discovery. Amazing things can happen when we contemplate things over a cup of tea. This is a most interesting and beautiful house.
