In 1986 I went on a school tour and we visited a museum somewhere in South Africa either in Pretoria or Pietermaritzburg (South Africa).
I photographed this display with my little Kodak Flip Open camera I got in 1982, so the image quality wasn't very good.
This little set of furniture made such an impression on me. I don't have any more info on the furniture itself, but the items next to it were clothing from about the early to mid 1800's. I assume the furniture dates from the same time.
These were also for the very rich people in South Africa only, and you can see that they were well looked after.
I wonder what little girl played with them?
