Painting the border of the shabby chic bedroom floor

I chose a beige border similar to the photo that inspired me. Because the room is small, I decided not to do a double border. I used acrylic paint and small paintbrush. Then I taped off each white square and painted a blue square next to it. The tutorial link I posted has a great tip to avoid bleeding under the tape. My measurements weren't quite square, but I figured that adds to the shabby charm, plus the bed will be covering part of the floor.
