It is a stamped styrene or dense foam sheet about 10" x 14" which I found at out local dollhouse store. It is the most detailed and realistic ceiling pattern I have ever seen. The living room will get it also but since the room is nearly 14 x 14 it will be in the centre of a trayed ceiling
