The plasterwork on the ceiling roses is magnificent. The plaster was mixed with horsehair for strength. This chandelier is in the master bedroom. Note the colored ceiling.

I had this same idea in mind for my Garfield bathroom - a colored ceiling with a white ceiling rose. I can see why this would serve as an inspiration.
