quarter inch scale cookies

Lady-K

I typically work in one inch scale (all my houses are that scale-and I like how much detail I can work in at that size), but at a recent show I had a talk with a local miniatures club about quarter scale. Most of them have switched to quarter inch, but it's tough finding shops that sell things at that tiny size, locally anyway, and many mini-artists are working in larger scales. So I told them I would give it a try-I've only had a table at one of their shows so far, but I think they like me.

My first quarter inch scale batch was my annual Mini Gingerbread House series, which I posted earlier. I planned on that being the end of new minis in my shop until the New Year, but I had a custom order and a lot of extra oven space when it came time to bake it. So I made some more quarter scale foods.

This is one of four tiny chocolate chip cookie platters. I think they turned out pretty well. My only real complaint about this scale is how tricky it is to photograph. ><
