Making floor templates

I figure what works in RL should work in miniature so I used the same method that I used for creating the template for my kitchen floor when I cut and installed new flooring myself a few years back. I laid strips of paper around the borders, taping and folding as I went. A few cross pieces here and there keep everything square (or in the case of my 100 year old house - NOT square!) when I take it out to lay on my choosen flooring.
