Bamboo table runner

otterine

I'm sure this is nothing new to many people, but this was the first time I had tried this process. I've seen others using real life placemats and blinds to create wonderful paneling or reed wall textures in miniature. I'm putting in a fair amount of beadboard in this build, but I didn't like the idea of cutting individual strips of wood to achieve the look. First, there is the cost of all that wood and second, the time involved. In case you hadn't noticed, I'm a little behind the pack with this project! :D

I looked online for some placemats and found a nice set at World Market. When I went to the store, however, I discovered the same material in a table runner measuring 16" x 90" that was a much better deal at $5 more.
