The Great American Dollhouse Museum

rackey

This is the front of the Great American Dollhouse Museum in Danville, Kentucky. We arrived there later than expected because we were running late, and traveling east, we lost an hour as we didn't realize Kentucky had two different time zones.

As we approached the building, my friend Kathy was afraid the place was closed, as we saw no cars; but the parking was in the back. She was rather nervous, as she added this attraction to our trip for me, promised we would see it, and would have felt terrible if our plans didn't work out. As disappointed as I would have been if the place was closed, I would have felt worse for Kathy than for myself. She and my other travel buddy Barbara are good friends.

Wow !! What a wonderful place to go. Lu-u-ucky you. I checked out their website too. Wouldn't it be nice if every area of the country had some kind of a place like this that dh's go could to live after their owner's pass on. What a cool job.

What a lovely slide show you have created of our museum! Thank you so much! Selkie, in response to your comment: yes, I confess it's a cool job. And we do travel all over the country to pick up donations, if we need the item. Road trip! Hope you can drop in and visit some day.
