The White Rose

Okay, I finally squeezed my eyes shut and took the plunge, and started cutting holes in the roof of my Rosedale. After much dithering, I decided to go for it.

I wanted consistency with the windows, so I took the exterior trim piece for the front bay and traced its outline centered onto the front Mansard roof piece, then cut the opening for the dormer.

I also used that piece to trace a copy onto a piece of 1/16th inch basswood to replace the trim piece because I'm going to use the piece that came with the kit for the dormer.
