I'm off the starting blocks

Jo Med

I've finally got the basic shell cut out although the design has changed a bit since last year. I will have to do a significant amount of filling and there are still lots of doors and windows to cut out but at last I can see how its fitting together.

The staircase and bookcases I did last year while I was waiting for the carpenter to step up.

I love the intricacies of the design, Jo.

As for cutting out the doorways, do you really have to cut all of them out? Can you mount the doors on the back wall directly on the wall? They'll not ever be opened, will they?

Thanks Kathie and Brae for the vote of confidence. Kathie, you are right I won't cut out the doorways on the landing level except for one which will link the 2 levels and the front door which will be on the extreme left front and maybe another small wall with a door in leading from the corridor on the extreme right.

Thanks Sergio. This will take up all my space and more when its complete. The good thing about it is that there are 4 modules inside the box all of which can be worked on separately so I won't actually put the box together until I've got the bottom 2 modules done.
