kitchen windows

WyckedWood

I put in the overgrown vines that will b the roses for the kitchen window. Ive been looking fw to doing this window, its my favorite window of the house. I don't think I will use the ivy this time, because I don't want to cover the design on this window box and I also want to save what I have left of the ivy for the front of the house. I realize how unrealistic this is....with the large tree like vines in this box...but I think when I get to the stage of actually doing a landscaped base, I will make it look like the vines broke through the bottom of the box and will grow a little beneath it too...just a thought...but I also don't care if its unrealistic, I love the abundance of the flowers around the windows. I have a few flower kits to "plant" in this box too, from sdk.

Is there any place in your gallery or somewhere else where you explain the process of this ageing affect of your house?

I did go into great detail about how I did this house....but for some reason I cant find that thread. In short its a process of covering the siding with what we in the USA call wallboard joint compound. That's how I did the saggy siding and then the rest is done with crackle finishes and washes of paint.
