bay window

WyckedWood

Ive finished about 3/4 of the way around the bay (just the leaves) Im giving myself carpel tunnel from cutting these leaves...broke down and went to the hobby shop for new fresh scissors, that helped a little. Im thinking a mix of faded yellow roses on one side and pink on the other might be nice.

One of my favorite roses is yellow with just a hint of pink around the outer edges of the petals. I think it is called the peace rose. Pretty.

Oh...good idea...I could go with yellow tissue paper and use pink pastels to color the outer edges, thanks much for the thoughts:-)

I just googled "peace rose"....lots of pictures of it. Some have real dark pink edges, the ones I like are a little more muted with the pink, but all are pretty and would probably give the rose some depth.

Thank you Patricia, that's so nice of you, I agree it would b nice if it was just kind of blushy pink on the outer leaves, I'll take a look at some of those. Although im lucky to get "sort of an illusion of a real rose"...not expecting them to b too realistic using tissue paper.

Thank you Kelly ;-) Its been fun doing this bay...Im not sure how Im going to feel about them when Im finished with all of the windows on this house though...yikes.

I know, tissue paper is not all that sturdy, and the roses are small, but probably with just very soft brush with some pastel chalk and a quick "sweep" over the rose should be enough.

I use to do scenes inside goose eggs, so I undertand what you are going thru making all these flowers and leaves!

Well - I have some pictures, but that was about 15 years ago and the pictures were not digital and I don't have a scanner to get them on to my computer.
