Dining Room floor

minikelli

This is MDF, but has the look of hard wood. I used the same effect for the attic flooring. Simple matter of drawing out my lines, and using an exacto to scribe the lines. Followed each line straight, and then went back at an angle to that. After brushing away the loosed bits, then painted with a latex base paint. Once dry, I sanded in one direction over the paint to create the look of wood grain. After this I used Minwax Polyshades over top, and have to say I will definitely use this again.

I believe the original article for this is at dhbuilder . com for the how-to. I loved the way it turned out!!!
