Rag quilt

WyckedWood

Handmade, sewn rag quilt for attic bedroom. This is my second time dressing this bed, Im really trying to resist painting it (white) because its handmade wicker from an artist and was spendy, but the 80s mauve color is not doing anything for me.

Ive been working on this quilt, in my on going quest to try to make a decent patch work mini quilt (several disasters sit on my work table as reminders to myself to stop trying to make quilts) but Im kinda stubborn, so I keep on trying. I DID give up on trying to make my seams meet when working with a 3/4 inch piece of fabric....so I tried this out instead, and it did solve a lot of problems. A rag quilt is much more forgiving (seam wise).

Thank you all for the feedback:-) I really appreciate it!

Im working on a crazy quilt now, which is (so far) much more relaxing and meditative, as the seams are not an issue at all. Id like to get two or three handmade quilts made for this bedroom to have one or two folded by the fireplace and one hanging over a quilt rack. Well, how can you possibly have too many quilts in a house lol;-)
