I decided to use this simple staircase, as the one supplied with the kit was just too big (I think) and blocked off too much of the openess of this house. I changed the fireplace as well....

That looks great. I've wanted to build the Magnolia but never liked the way the stairs are. Your stairs really open up the rooms. I like your floors too.
