Love the idea; I found a different brand at Michael's, Activ-Wire Mesh. They only had silver but I painted it and plan to use it in my daughters 35 year old modern Tudor to replace the broken window which is a clear acrylic printed one no longer made.

Cant wait to see more of these houses of yours peering in through the windows is just not enough!
