kreativitea75 79 Posted April 16, 2012 I almost bid on this one! Kinda funny. It's a great gate-leg table, congrats! Quote Link to comment
Ravenswing 274 Posted April 17, 2012 Isn't that something, and all I really wanted was the table, don't really have a use for the chair except to put in in my stash for later. But I couldn't resist that table. I sat on that, watching it for 4 days, praying that a bunch of rookies didn't get in there tryng to outbid each other (days out from the end of the auction) driving up the price. I swear I hate to see them coming, they get in on an item sometimes 4 or 5 days before the end of the auction and play tit for tat with each other. All it does is drive up the price and more often than not they get outbid by a veteran who comes in and "snipes" the item in the last 20 seconds. 1 Quote Link to comment
kreativitea75 79 Posted April 19, 2012 Yup, wanted the table, too! Oh, and the rookies are sooo annoying! Having been on there a while, I usually just walk away when I see that because I know another one will be along and I won't pay 5x what it actually should be. But sometimes watching the snipes are kinda funny. Quote Link to comment
Ravenswing 274 Posted April 21, 2012 LOL, for real on the snipers! I always check the bidding history before I even consider a bid, then cross my fingers and hope nobody else sees it! Rookies are the worse, I've seen simple, truly inexpensive, items get bid up through the roof because they think "if I just put in one more bid I'll be high bidder" (5 days out). I just want to scream at them...yeah but for how long numbnuts! I don't mind losing to someone whose history shows that they're really into mini's but I hate to see those "one bid wonders" coming...127 bids on 125 items. Ugh! Quote Link to comment
