My 1920s inspired kitchen

otterine

Before delving into the final push on the first floor so I can begin the second floor, I went through my stash of minis to fully set up the kitchen. I tried to not clutter the room, but just a few added accessories really change the feel. I love the way this room has come together.

Gorgeous! Two questions: Is that premade flooring? And did you make the light fixture?

The woman I took many classes from always said when you get it right, you can feel your head shrinking. My head shrinks right into this kitchen!

Thank you! :D The light fixture is by Ray Storey in the UK - fantastic lighting to choose from. The checkered flooring is weathered looking scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby sealed with spray matte sealer and the wood portion is premade wood sheet flooring stained darker.

This reminds me so much of our families summer home. Generations of things in this house. We have that sink, a painted farmers table, and is that a mouse on the floor!? If so, it is even more true to the cottage!

I am literally on my way out the door to go on vacation but where I'm going doesn't have internet so the very last thing I have to do before I walk about the door is see what you've done the last couple of days. I'm speechless.
