I forgot to look at how much these cost but I'm sure well under $5. The canvases are about 2" wide. I can't paint worth poop but though I could come up with something simple (or even use decopauge). The easels are a bit chunky but in a childrens room (where you wouldn't want something delicate), they should work fine.
