Next, I used small hinges (not to scale) from my local craft store and attached them to the unaltered side of the doorway. These are thin jewelry box hinges, with some fat soft brass screws I have from another project. Scale hinges will also work, but they must be lined up perfectly. This is for play, so I opted to wider hinges. Alternatives to metal hinges can be substituted.
