Everything on this house was edible (except for the lights). I used black food paint to give the gingerbread a weathered siding look. I poured the stained glass windows from melted jolly ranchers (still have the scar from where I got burned by molten hot jolly rancher liquid too! - Ouch!) Broken necco wafers made up the foundation. Everything else was either royal icing or found candy. I spent about 2 months before Halloween hunting down different types of themed candies to complete this. I remember that I was almost lost on the porch posts and was going to "settle" for pretzel sticks when I found a clearance sale of black and white candy canes. That was the best candy find ever!
