Pennsylvania 'dutch' blanket chest made from the bottom half of the hutch. I had to completely disassemble it to get the block out of the middle of it and to put the hinged lid on. It does open and it will store mini blankets and other family heirlooms.

This is beautiful! Great idea to make 2 pieces from one Micheals hutch! I have 2 of them at home and still didn't have a plan for them, thanks for the idea!
