Landscaping

Even though I don't have one wall glued onto the foundation, I've been planning the landscaping. Jo mentioned Heki grass mats, so I did a bit of sleuthing around and finally found a supplier in the U.S.: Scenery Express. I ended up with a number of materials from them, all of which should work very well in 1:12 scale. The first is Savannah TuftGrass by Heki. It's a mat with low and high grasses in variegated coloration. I went with the more dried out, late autumn colors. It's pricey, but the look is spot on in scale for a poorly kept lawn with some overgrown and dying spots in the grass. I've put a chair in the scene to give you a sense of scale.
