From shoddy to clean
The die-cut kit parts for the Heritage are mostly good, though a few are just plain awful. They are both dried up and poorly cut...stamped more than die-cut, actually. They are splintered and brittle. I spackle, sand and paint to take them from this poor condition to a good, clean finish. The part on the left is freshly cut from the parts frame and the one on the right is my finished interior window trim. I wrote up the full process I use on my blog.
