It actually looks pretty cool in person because it's so small. It feels good to just paint for fun. In the past, most of the miniature paintings I did were commissioned. I think the only ones I did for me were a couple of 1/24th castles in acrylics, and one landscape also in 1/24th. It was educational because I got to try alot of subjects and genres that I would not have done on my own... but nothing beats painting to see what's in the brush.

There are a few more in the works using this palette. The next one says it wants fairies, so we'll see how that goes. Itsy bitsy fairies on an itsy bitsy canvas.

Whenever I see yellows and reds together, I see fire. Karel Appel used those colors often in his paintings.
