Colonial mock Up back view

Why not a side yard instead of a wrap around? My sister's house looks alot like this on the outside (she lives in a classic colonial) and she has a red maple there. Looks great against the white. There is also an entrance to the basement on that side. Seems like a nice place for a tailored garden.

Glad I could help! Where your addition is, she has a garage and all the stairs are in the center of the house. The funny thing is, they never use the front door but they have a gorgeous staircase centered right in front of it.

I love central staircases but I also love the pre-scribed floors that the kit comes with. Seems a waste to plug the hole and lay new floors just to move the perfectly fine stairs. Too bad though because that would have been nice.
