Since this is my first contest I decided to go with my first impression rather than try to go outside the box creatively. When I first saw the kit, I immediately thought "English Pub!" Rather than stick strictly to tradition, I thought I would represent an old building that someone renovated into their version of an English pub. They spiffed it up and put on an addition. Downstairs here's the bar, and a place for friends to gather. Upstairs we have the pool room, and in a little back room a not-so-public (and perhaps not so legal!) poker game is underway. Outside I added a little patio under the stairs where the resident bar cat greets patrons.

A welcoming little pub and that outside space is just right, like a quiet courtyard you might find beside an old pub in England.
