Unfinished spiral stairs for Spring Fling

I used a dowel, a drinking straw, spindles and cut pieces of basswood. I drilled holes in the basswood at the narrow end of the *step* and then alternated a 3/4" section of straw and a step, until I got to the height I needed. I then glued the spindles onto the steps. They are flimsy this way, so I would recommend the change of drilling a small hole to secure them into.
