One is likely to encounter all sorts of fascinating critters in the wild. This handsome chap was crossing the dunes between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach at the primitive campground. Rat snakes are truly beatifully marked animals, and there are usually plenty of small rodents on the beach to keep him fat & happy
