Which front door?

Smallscale

I'm trying to decide which front door to use on my Fairfield. Both are Victorian style doors. I'm leaning towards the oval one mainly because you will be able to see into the entry way. The other door even though its grander really makes it impossible to see the entry and staircase that I worked so hard on. What's everyones thoughts?

Also in the picture is my modified houseworks windows. Cutting those mulions wasn't easy in half scale  Where the Fairfield has 2 doors I'm also thinking of replacing the door into the kitchen with a window. I will most likely do this if I go with the oval door for the front door.

i'm also building the fairfield with the oval shaped door. However, the opening is too big for the door and I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Yes I noticed that too. I'm going to use some of the scraps from the kit to cut a filler piece for the door. Then I will wood glue it in place.

Why don't you take the frame with the transom and put the oval door inside of it? This makes the door fit into the hole and it gives you the best of both styles...

Edit - I did something like this here... (it's down a little lower on the page)... :)
