This is very primitive yet

Debora59

I have tried several things with stair railing, and this is the 3rd style, its yet in very primitive condition has not even been sanded yet and needs layers added to it for detail, I am having some trouble with my right forearm, the nerve running from elbow to fingers is giving me lots of pain almost constant, so wasnt sure If I would be able to finish the scrolled look railing I was working on.

If I can add the illusion of spiral rungs I will, not sure

then color has always been a dilema for it also, light rails dark handrail? or all dark stained or all light?

Sorry to hear about your pain issues. :( I know how frustrating that is when you want to do something, but the arms/hands just don't let you do it! I suffer from tendonitis/arthritis in my elbows, shoulders and hands so I know what that is like.

Although these railings are missing the "wow" factor, they are quite adequate and will look just fine should you decide to go with this design. I like the idea of all stained wood, but whatever you choose I know it will look amazing! :)

I think the simplicity would compliment the area well-as would a dark stain. I do love the scroll work you were doing, and think that either choice will yield fantastic results.

Shucks! I still can't get a larger picture of an album page...but I did want to tell you that I feel sad for you...One, because you have a tricky rt. arm and two, you have to make a choice of railing.Three great rails-one choice.Good Luck!! :giggle:
