Alexander 524 Posted April 2, 2011 This sofa is very cute. It reminds me a pumpkin though... it is intentional I assume... Quote Link to comment
Chris P. 343 Posted April 2, 2011 Well, Alexander, it is supposed to look both functional and a little bit magical, something the fairies would have made from scraps thy found around. It didn't come out exactly as I had intended, but it is a fun little thing. T'would never work in your beautiful Victorian! Quote Link to comment
Alexander 524 Posted April 2, 2011 I know... I was very careful choosing my furniture. The manor is clearly Georgian but the Honorable lady Violette, who lives in it, belongs to the Edwardian era(early 20th c.). So, I had to move between Georgian, Regency, Victorian and Edwardian pieces for its decoration. The music room/parlor is a mixture of Georgian and Regency style(with Chippendale and Shereton style), the dinning room/drawing room mostly Victorian(though the chairs are in Queen Ann style), the kitchen, the bathroom and the bedroom are in an English country style and the morning room in Edwardian. I wanted to give an air of continuity throught ages... Quote Link to comment
